Division overview

The Division of Electrical Engineering performs the professional duties of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering related to the field of Electrical - Electronic Engineering. In the process of formation and development, the Division has made many contributions to the common development of the Faculty and the University in training, scientific research and technology transfer. The staff of our division has high professional qualifications; many young lecturers have doctorate degrees from famous universities in developed countries such as France, China, etc... The Division has cooperated with many prestigious foreign research institutions such as University of Toulouse (France), Polytechnic University of Grenoble (France), Laplace laboratory, Shanghai University (China), Hunan University (China), etc...

1. Training activities

The Division of Electrical Engineering is responsible for training undergraduate and graduate levels with deep and broad knowledge of analytical, computational and problem-solving skills related to Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

The division is formed by the following main professional groups:

- Fundamentals of Electrical-Electronic Engineering (modules: Introduction of engineering, Electrical engineering materials, Electrical safety, Electrical drawing, Electrical Instruments, Electrical machines, Practical electrical machines, Logic control);

- Power system (modules: Power supply, Power supply system design, Distribution grid operation, lighting engineering, Renewable energy, Relay protection, Smart power network);

- Electrical equipment (Modules: Electrical machine design, Electrical equipment design project, Electrical equipment, Electrical cabinet design and installation).

3. Scientific research

Up to now, the lecturers of our division have published more than 100 scientific articles in prestigious national and international journals and scientific conferences, completed many scientific and technological research projects at all levels. In addition, every year, the lecturers also guide many students to participate in scientific research and the Robocon Contest organized by Vietnam Television and many other science and technology activities.

The main research directions of the Division:

- Properties of solid insulating materials

- Simulation and modeling of rotating electrical machines

- Real-time monitoring and data acquisition system

- Robotic manipulator
